This year’s Spring Break took us to Scottsdale, Arizona!

A city that is brimming with art and design. We couldn’t resist an opportunity to soak up all that this desert oasis has to offer!

If you happen to be in Scottsdale on a Thursday evening, don’t miss the weekly ArtWalk. Local galleries in the historic Arts District open their doors from 7pm to 10pm, allowing attendees to browse the galleries along Main Street and Marshall Way. Here you can enjoy artist demonstrations, exhibit openings, and live entertainment as you stroll. You will also find some of Old Town’s most popular restaurants and wine-tasting rooms. This makes for a perfect pairing! Grab a bite to eat and sip a glass of wine before an evening of gallery hopping.

If you’re a lover of all things architecture, then Taliesen West is for you! On a hill in northeast Scottsdale sits Frank Lloyd Wright’s historic home. Tours allow you to peek into the renowned home of one of the most notorious architects. It is regarded as one of Wright’s best examples of blending indoor and outdoor living spaces. It is a must see!

For our landscaping design lovers, then you will marvel at the Desert Botanical Garden. Get lost amongst the towering cacti and colorful wildflowers. All while enjoying background views of beautiful rock formations. It really is a sight to see! Once you’re done taking in the views, you can have lunch on the grounds at the charming eatery Gertrude’s. Make sure to order a Cactus Cosmo!

Ditat Deus is the Arizona state motto, the saying is Latin for “God Enriches”. After visiting this beautiful state, we understand the sentiment.
